Beneath Ahknoor - Playtest Version Available

Beneath Ahknoor is a dungeon-crawling RPG that welds classic exploration with narrative-driven mystery-solving. Inspired by D&D megadungeons, each level is a self-contained mystery. Players must gather clues, uncover secrets, and decide how to resolve the challenges therein.

 The game uses the Carved from Brindlewood system to structure each level of the dungeon as a mystery and Powered by the Apocalypse style moves to manage play, making play fast, flexible, and player-driven.

In each session, players explore up to three interconnected dungeon levels. They will discover clues about which faction controls each level and how to overcome them or negotiate with them to resolve that level. Once they’ve resolved ten levels, the final level is unlocked, unveiling the ultimate challenge - mastering the depths Beneath Ahknoor.

The dungeons aren’t the only mystery to be explored. As they delve deeper, the players will examine their characters’ pasts, create connections, and shape their fates through a system that rewards engaging with their backgrounds.
