Writing new candles

I was reading a newsletter from Oddplan the other day and it inspired me to write up a new candle. It was so much fun that I might need to write some more.  I thought I'd share the candle here:

Slime Candle

Description

These candles are squat, blobby pillars. Typically they are an earthy brown with splotches of color matching the slime, ooze, jelly, or mold infused into the candle. They give off the pungent, vegetal scent of compost.

Effect

Any being, other than allies of the candle's owner, who enter the candle's light suffer the effects of contacting the slime (or other monster) used to create the candle. For example, the light of a gray ooze candle will corrode metal and do 2d8 damage to flesh.
